Job Summary
Lube Technician responsible for lubrication and fluid services on Miller Waste equipment, performing routine vehicle maintenance, maintaining records, assisting technicians with basic repairs, and keeping the shop clean. Must adhere to Miller Waste safety protocols and Health & Safety Act. Duties include servicing company vehicles (oil changes, chassis lubrication, cleaning), inspecting and topping off fluids, applying lubricants to components, draining old oil and refilling, and maintaining equipment appearance. May require overtime, weekends, and holidays; strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn are required; a Technician’s Licence and a Class 5 Driver’s Licence are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Successful candidates will be mechanically inclined
- Strong work ethic
- Desire to learn and apply knowledge daily
- Experience as a Lube Technician or similar role is asset
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Available to work late when trucks are behind schedule
- May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays
- Technician’s Licence is desirable
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Basic set of hand tools
