Job Summary
Provide virtual language instruction to improve foreign language proficiency across listening, reading, and speaking (ILR levels 0+ to 3) and deliver instruction on regional and culture subjects using blended-learning methodologies. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, assess and adapt lessons based on student interests and ILR levels, review and grade assignments, and maintain a positive virtual learning environment. Collaborate with the Site Lead, POI analyst, or Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps and ensure use of designated POI and government-approved materials. Requires access to a computer with webcam, headset, reliable internet, and US citizenship; preferred experience with online platforms (e.g., CL-150, Blackboard) and a Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Educated native speaker or near-native capability in listening, reading, and speaking with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience delivering foreign language instruction virtually
- Understanding of cultural, social and political environments of the foreign language region
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
