Job Summary
Danish Linguist to support foreign language and linguistic services across YSG and TU, performing interpretation (in-person/virtual), translation of written/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction as needs arise. Open evergreen requisition for multiple current/future requirements and opportunities across government contracts; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles within the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- LSS Qualifications (Task Support Dependent): CAT I/II/III English proficiency ILR 2+ or 3+ depending on category
- Security clearances as defined (CAT I Local Nationals/TCN/uncleared US citizen; CAT II US citizens with SECRET; CAT III US citizens with TOP SECRET and SCI)
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students
- Ability to translate/interpret from English and into the foreign language
- Consecutive translation/interpretation of ongoing conversations
- Familiarity with local culture and customs
- Ability to live/work in harsh environments and under high pressure
- Team-oriented collaboration with highly trained professionals
- Fluency in English and target language with regionalisms and slang
- Idiomatic translations with correct syntax and expression
