Job Summary
The Dance Teaching Artist is responsible for teaching, choreographing, and directing various outreach programs, including public elementary schools and statewide residency sites. Key responsibilities include creating choreography for outreach programs, conducting training workshops, providing administrative support, and ensuring the success of artistic productions and events. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-3 years of experience in teaching or related duties, with a strong passion for empowering children through dance. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Dance Education, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 1-3 years of experience in job-related duties (teaching, choreography, production or administration)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly motivated and energetic
- Passionate about working with children through the NDI-NM methodology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Professional dance performance experience
- Experience teaching in related outreach programs
- Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish
