Job Summary
Teach lessons aligned to California VAPA Content Standards in Dance using discipline-specific techniques, choreography, and performance methods. Develop lesson plans, scaffold instruction, and adapt curriculum to student needs while establishing behavior standards for a functional learning atmosphere. Collaborate with staff, administration, and families to plan performances, coordinate instructional assistants, and report student progress to teachers and parents. Communicate effectively with diverse learners, including English language learners, and maintain partnerships with community organizations to enrich arts education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 2+ years of practical/professional experience in area of dance concentration
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
- Provide a clear TB test
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR (for employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes)
- Must be available for the entire shift schedule

- Successful experience teaching in grades TK-8
