Job Summary
Develop and implement an innovative seven-day activity program that engages residents in assisted living and memory care settings. Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities while supporting independent pursuits and encouraging participation. Communicate resident condition or behavior changes to the Harbor Care Director and maintain confidentiality. Stays with groups during all excursions. Requires a high school diploma or bachelor's degree, knowledge of aging and disability issues, and training in recreational activities, Alzheimer's care, and program coordination for diverse populations. Full-time Tuesday through Saturday schedule with hourly pay ranging from $19.75 to $25.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- knowledge of aging and disability issues
- Must be qualified by experience and training to develop programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals
- Possesses training and knowledge in recreational activities
- Possesses training and knowledge of Alzheimer's and related dementias
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community
- Shows a consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks

Desired Qualifications
- Registered or Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT; BC-DMT)
- Accredited Masters of Mental Health Counseling- Dance Movement Therapy or Expressive Arts Therapy
