Job Summary
Deliver quality instruction in dance, movement, and musical theatre for children ages 2–12 across programs including Creative Drama, School of Theatre Training, Disney Musicals In Schools, residencies, and summer camps. Create and implement lesson plans reviewed weekly to build theatre skills and engagement based on the provided curriculum. Communicate regularly with parents and staff to maintain program quality while attending mandatory meetings and professional development. Work as a Teaching Artist on an as-needed basis, with compensation ranging from $20.40 to $43.20 per classroom hour depending on the program. Applicants must be local to Charlotte or provide their own housing and transportation.
Required Qualifications
- training and/or experience in dance and/or creative movement
- experience and interest in working with students ages 2-10
- You must be local to Charlotte or be able to provide your own housing in Charlotte
- You must be able to provide your own transportation to and from the theatre and/or the satellite or partner locations

- acting and/or music background in addition to dance
- experience and interest in working with BOTH preschool and elementary students
