Job Summary
Plans and performs a variety of technical and clerical assignments in the Damage Prevention function of gas facilities within the assigned area. Responsibilities include receiving/recording CBYD locations, locating and marking distribution facilities, reviewing blasting tickets, monitoring third-party construction for compliance, maintaining high-quality documentation in ticket systems, preparing as-built sketches, inspecting gas service installations for standards, and attending pre-construction meetings to discuss scope. Requires reading blueprints, operating computers, and extracting mapping data; involves fieldwork in noisy, hazardous construction environments; union membership is required for this position. The role is safety-sensitive and subject to pre-employment drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to operate mapping/computer systems
- Knowledge of gas distribution policies and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Union membership required for the position
