Requires reading blueprints, operating computers, knowledge of regulatory codes, and effective communication; unionized environment with safety-sensitive responsibilities and pre-employment drug testing. Regular schedule with potential after-hours/emergency locate duties and travel between work sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read blueprints and operate computers
- Ability to operate electronic pipe locating equipment
- Knowledge of gas distribution regulations and safety standards
- Experience in locating and marking underground utilities (CBYD)
- Ability to prepare as-built sketches and maintain documentation
