Job Summary
The Dairy Worker is responsible for performing daily milking operations, maintaining bedding and feeding of dairy cattle, cleaning and sanitizing the dairy barn, and assisting residents/students with milking practices and equipment operation. Responsibilities include operating farm vehicles to haul feed, inspecting cattle, providing basic treatment as needed, and maintaining farm facilities and equipment. The role requires rotating shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, outdoors in varying weather, and exposure to dairy cattle and machinery. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and basic math/reading abilities. This is a regular full-time union-represented position located at Krauss Dairy Research Facility (Wooster, OH). Final candidates may undergo background checks and post-offer drug screening or physicals.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
- Ability to read and write simple sentences
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working in a farm environment
