Job Summary
Dairy Queen Assistant Manager responsible for leading and coaching team members to deliver exceptional guest service, managing department merchandising and marketing initiatives, resolving guest and team concerns, and overseeing store operations including sales, labor scheduling, and adherence to store standards. Requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) and to supervise store activities including use of POS and other store technology to meet business goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- 1-3 years retail experience
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent guest service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and develop others
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise and fixtures
