Job Summary
The Dairy Process Operator is responsible for ensuring all products meet PMO and SQF standards, maintaining pasteurizer and related equipment, and adhering to GMPs and SOPs. Responsibilities include monitoring the dairy production process, conducting pre-operational sanitation inspections, tracking critical control points (pasteurization), monitoring quality indicators (temperature, fat, etc.), completing required paperwork clearly and accurately, reporting unsafe conditions, troubleshooting basic to moderate operating issues, managing preventative maintenance for the department, operating and cleaning equipment with urgency to minimize downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while complying with SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, and customer requirements. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 3-6 months related experience), prior food manufacturing facility experience, strong reading/writing and math skills, familiarity with manufacturing software and Microsoft Office, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work an 8-hour shift. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-6 months related experience or equivalent
- Past experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Ability to read and write comprehensive reports and procedures
- Basic mathematical skills including algebra and geometry
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Software, Inventory Software, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to climb ladders and maneuver through equipment
