Job Summary
Provide world-class customer service as a top priority while assisting the Dairy Manager in ordering, maintaining inventory levels, and managing margin and profitability. Merchandise shelves, endcaps, and displays; conduct active and passive demos; and oversee tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock. Handle register functions including backup cashiering, customer returns, and complaints; support store opening and closing activities with daily sales reporting and cash handling. Train and monitor department personnel, address performance issues, and ensure all products meet company standards. Utilize SAP and inventory management software to maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and desire to provide World Class Customer Service as a number one priority including initiating customer contact, initiating conversations about products, events and services, actively engaging customers and following through
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to train and develop others
- 1 year of experience in retail experience in a grocery or retail environment
- 1 year of experience supervising others
- Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law and maintain compliance by keeping certifications up to date and registered if applicable
- Ability to manage changing priorities and to stay focused with the task at hand
- Sense of urgency in the completion of tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow through
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
