Job Summary
Ensure the forklift is stored correctly, fueled, cleaned, maintained, and ready to operate daily. Sort and segregate recycled waste items from incoming material, depositing recoverable items safely into appropriate chutes. Inspect loads for non-recyclable items and remove them as required. Clean assigned areas by sweeping, raking, and picking up debris, including moving barrels, cans, and bins. Assist other employees with heavy or bulky items as needed. Complete the sit-down forklift certification process and follow all company safety policies. Work the day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday plus two Saturdays monthly, with lots of overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent Sit Down Forklift experience
- Steel-toed shoes
- Ability to lift 25-65 pounds safely
- Able to stand for long periods without a break
- Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must undergo pre-employment drug screening
- Must undergo criminal & employment background checks
- Must complete an in-person interview
