Job Summary
Conduct daily substitute teaching by following absent teachers' lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and maintaining student attendance records. Teach assigned classes using district-approved online formats, proctor testing activities, and supervise non-classroom assignments while adhering to building schedules. Maintain a positive learning environment by implementing behavior management procedures, supporting students with disabilities, and collaborating with staff to resolve concerns. Prepare written summaries of work completed and report special situations to the principal. Ensure safety compliance, monitor student welfare, and uphold the student code of conduct throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Complies with state department of education temporary teaching license requirements
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- Complies with drug – free workplace rules and board policies
- Valid state department of education license/certificate appropriate for the position preferred
