DAEP AIDE

Assist students with behavioral and physical disabilities according to individualized needs, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene. Work with individual students or small groups to achieve learning objectives while monitoring progress on programmed materials. Supervise students throughout the school day, including lunchroom, bus duty, physical education, cafeteria, restrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and during field trips. Provide assistance to the special education teacher in preparing instructional materials and implementing programs, while reinforcing previously introduced skills. Maintain a neat classroom, keep supervisors informed of student needs, and ensure strict confidentiality. Participate in staff development, meetings, and events as needed.
