Job Summary
The da Vinci Cardiovascular Sales Manager identifies, validates, and manages the surgical adoption of cardiac procedures for the da Vinci Surgical System; partners with marketing, sales leadership, Clinical Sales, Capital Sales, and Key Accounts to recruit and develop Surgeons, Cardiologists, Team Members, and Executives as KOLs to expand da Vinci Cardiac usage. Responsibilities include expanding Cardiac users across France and Benelux to Total Practice, identifying high-potential leads, owning the four phases of the new da Vinci Cardiac Technical Training Pathway, building Cardiac Reference Centers, developing comprehensive Cardiac Programmatic Development Centers, creating Cardiac awareness in strategic markets, and launching the da Vinci Cardiac Ecosystem. The role requires developing autonomous surgeons and teams, providing technical expertise on the da Vinci System (IMA harvest, mitral valve procedures, and related MIS options), educating KOLs on system use, leading care-team training, and collaborating with clinical, capital, MACA, marketing, and education teams to ensure program success. Travel up to 70% is expected; a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of medical device experience with cardiac clinical background are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in science or business)
- 5+ years of medical device experience required
- Cardiac clinical experience required
- Proven success in previous employment indicating high level of sales achievement
- Proven ability to develop KOLs and Reference Centers with QTI Data
- Proven ability to cross collaborate and work within teams
- Demonstrate ability to solve problems, manage complexity, and work in an environment of change
- Excellent planning skills, interpersonal skills, and persuasive communication skills
- Excellent clinical selling skills and ability to build credibility with a highly educated customer base.
- Track record of sales excellence
- Ability to travel up to 70%, dependent upon account distribution.
