D365 Finance Integration Architect

Job Summary
Design secure interfaces and build middleware solutions to connect D365 Finance with external applications, replacing heavily customized legacy systems. Extract, transform, and load historical financial data—including subledger, refund, and reconciliation records—into the new environment while ensuring all data pipelines align with federal security guidelines. Review agency processes for filing fees, refunds, and accounting workflows to configure software settings that meet daily operational needs. Set up technical configurations adhering to federal security standards and required delivery frameworks. This role acts as the technical anchor for a federal agency modernizing its core financial system. Candidates must possess deep programming mastery in X++ and C#/.NET, along with experience leading large-scale ERP data conversions using DMF/DIXF.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (dual citizens not eligible)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of hands-on technical architecture and coding experience within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) or senior-level Dynamics AX 2012 environments
- Deep programming mastery in X++ (AOT object customization, classes, forms, batch job automation) and C#/.NET
- Proven track record leading large-scale ERP data conversions utilizing DMF/DIXF and building automated validation/reconciliation scripts
- Strong background building service-based integrations using REST APIs, OData endpoints, Custom Services, and JSON/XML web services
- Practical working knowledge of Dataverse, environment lifecycle management via LCS (Lifecycle Services), and CI/CD code deployments via Azure DevOps
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700) or Developer Associate (MB-500)
- Experience deploying complex enterprise automation using Power Automate (Cloud Flows / Desktop RPA) and configuring custom connectors
- Functional familiarity with core financial modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets) and federal/regulated financial compliance standards
- Strong consulting presence and communication skills—the ability to clearly map complex integration hurdles to a development team and translate technical needs to agency stakeholders
