Job Summary
As a D365 Data Specialist, Inventory, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of inventory data across all systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). Your role will involve monitoring and analyzing inventory transactions, maintaining master data accuracy, and resolving data discrepancies. You will create Power BI dashboards for real-time inventory analytics, oversee reconciliations between D365 and GL accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data-driven processes. A strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and advanced analytical skills are essential for this position.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a data-focused retail, inventory, or ERP analyst role
- Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Inventory & Supply Chain modules)
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations
- Independent, analytical mindset with a proactive approach to data governance and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Power BI dashboard development experience
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles (subledger vs. GL, costing methods, shrink reserves)
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and identify root causes of discrepancies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business language
