Job Summary
Operate mixing and packaging equipment to transfer raw materials, load/unload supplies from semi-trailers and railcars, and adjust machinery to clear jams. Monitor instrumentation, enter data, and perform quality checks on product before, during, and after filling. Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical malfunctions while conducting routine maintenance and housekeeping. Prepare reports, training manuals, and deliver training sessions as needed. Work a 12-hour shift from 4:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday and every third Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- 12-Hour Shift (4:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Thursday through Saturday & every 3rd Sunday
- Loading, unloading and transporting raw materials, equipment and supplies from semi-trailers and railcars
- Tend to and operate machines that package products
- Adding and removing supplies and/or product from line
- Inspecting product before, during and after filling by performing quality checks
- Making equipment adjustments and clearing jams on equipment
- Operating the palletizer
- Entering data in computer and monitoring the instrumentation including computer data entry
- Troubleshooting the pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment when malfunctions occur
- Providing routine and preventative maintenance
- Preparing reports, training manuals and conducting training sessions, as needed
