Job Summary
Provide direct instruction on daily living skills individually or in groups, monitor and document client behavior, and offer guidance in decision-making and behavior management. Support clients during periods of change, illness, or disruption, while performing light housekeeping, meal preparation for special diets, and errands. Help develop and implement individual service/treatment plans, participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings, and provide transportation to ensure access to necessary medical care. Deliver or assist with educational and recreational activities, complete and maintain client records, and ensure all documentation aligns with state/federal regulations and confidentiality laws. This role includes limited case management and requires reliable transportation and a valid Georgia driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Georgia driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
