Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including evaluating food/nutrition intake and pain levels in patients. Administer prescribed medications as directed, adjusting dosage based on patient condition under supervision, while monitoring for adverse reactions. Perform urine sample collection and blood draws, ensuring proper labeling and laboratory submission. Educate patients and families regarding symptoms, treatments, and medication administration. Maintain accurate documentation of all care activities and adhere to internal regulations and external compliance standards. Assist patients with paperwork for assistance programs and prior authorizations. This full-time role supports River Edge's outpatient behavioral health services in Macon, GA, focusing on psychiatric care and stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Diploma
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the Georgia State licensing board
- Minimum of one (1) year Psychiatric experience
- Pass a satisfactory background clearance
- Pass pre-employment drug test
