Job Summary
Automation Support Lead directs operations of the process and its personnel under the production support framework. Responsibilities include preparing daily operations based on orders and production schedules, ensuring materials and supplies availability, running initial tests, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and confirming proper set-up and readiness of machines. Leads training and development of personnel in processes, machinery, safety guidelines, and GMPs; supports continuous improvement efforts; communicates with shift teams and other departments; ensures quality and safe, efficient workflow; maintains compliance with GMPs, FDA/USDA/OSHA requirements, and company policies; utilizes SAP, SAVANNA, and MES; forklift operation required; adheres to company ethics and attendance requirements; reports as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Forklift certification required
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise manufacturing personnel
- Experience with SAP, SAVANNA, and MES is desirable
- Regular and reliable attendance will be required
- Commitment to safety, GMPs, and quality standards
