D&I Program Manager, Professional Services

Job Summary
Program Manager on Planet’s Global Professional Services team driving complex projects to scale government and defense customer adoption of the Planet Platform and data products. Lead development of proposals for D&I customers, define project scope/objectives and success metrics, and partner with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into actionable deliverables. Responsible for detailed project scheduling, risk mitigation, budget tracking, and delivering updates to customers and internal stakeholders. Design and implement processes for operational excellence and scalability, manage subcontractor contracts, measure performance and customer satisfaction, and continuously improve workflows. Requires 6+ years of project management experience including government/defense proposal work, a Bachelor's degree, experience with the Defense and Intelligence community, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, hybrid role with in-person work at the Graz office three days per week, and remote work supported globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 6+ years of experience in project management
- Experience preparing and contributing to technical proposals
- Experience working with or as part of the Defense and Intelligence community
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a technical or product development setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in dynamic environments
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with forward-looking improvements
