Job Summary
Cytotechnologist role at Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Winchester Hospital, performing preparation and screening of GYN and non-GYN slides, including ThinPrep screen and FNA support, triaging slides for pathologists, conducting quality control and maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR. Responsibilities include responding to supply and equipment issues, maintaining a safe, clean lab environment, staffing flexibility (may cover shifts), and potential travel between core lab and hospital. Requires ASCP-certified cytotechnologist with a BS in science or grandfathered equivalents; bilingual capabilities not specified. Salary range provided as hourly wage, with annualized conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science field required, or grandfathered qualifications
- Completion of a CAAHEP accredited cytotechnology program
- Registration as a Cytotechnologist with ASCP
- English communication skills
