Job Summary

Identify and render diagnostic evaluations of cytological specimens for abnormalities, malignancy, or disease. Sign out negative gynecological reports and serve as an FNA team member providing on-site adequacy evaluations for endoscopic ultrasound-directed and radiology-based fine needle aspirations. Support ancillary techniques, train new employees and students, and perform quality control activities. Partner with management to gather data for quality assurance and continuous improvement projects while fostering an inclusive work environment. This role requires a Cytologist (CT) or Specialist in Cytology (SCT) certification and a Florida license. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with LIS systems, cytopreparation techniques, and specimen triaging. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and offers a salary range of $38.71 to $58.09 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology
  • Bachelor's degree with completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program
  • Requires experience using databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills

  • A skills assessment test will be administered at the time of interview, and a PASS score is required to be considered

  • Must have Florida Cytotechnologist License
  • Individuals licensed in Florida prior to 1991 with two years of college and a one-year Cytology training program
  • demonstrate evidence of ongoing maintenance of certification
