Job Summary
Per diem Part Time CytoPrep Technician performs moderate to high complexity testing, analyzes, reviews, and reports testing results; recognizes when corrective action is needed and implements effective solutions; works in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards; champions safety, compliance, and quality control. Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or an equivalent science degree with MT training; ASCP certification preferred; 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing; operates general laboratory equipment. Bonus points for 2+ years of relevant experience. Location: Hicksville, NY; Hours: 12:00pm-5:00pm, Tue-Fri with occasional Saturdays; Per Diem/Part Time with benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
- 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
