Job Summary
Perform chromosome analysis and case review on various sample types including bone marrow, blood, prenatal, and tissues with a focus on accuracy and productivity. Conduct wet lab duties such as sample set up, harvest, slide dropping, and banding. Collaborate effectively with team members and implement process improvements. Oversee activities of lower-level personnel and assist in troubleshooting wet lab issues. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, possess certification as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Specialist, and have at least one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field
- 1+-year of experience as a Cytogenetics Technologist
- Certification/registration as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or certification as a Clinical Lab Specialist in Cytogenetics (NCA)
