Job Summary
Analyze and interpret cytogenetic results for karyotyping, FISH, microarray, and OGM analysis across oncological, prenatal, and postnatal specimens. Prepare and review final test reports while assisting the Medical Director in supervising specimen handling, testing, and reporting operations. Develop and validate in-house assays, maintain standard operating procedures, and direct technical staff in proficiency testing programs. Participate in resident and fellow education, collaborate on research, and publish findings within the academic laboratory setting.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO and/or PhD candidates in Biology
- ABMGG-Certified or Eligible for Certification in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) or Cytogenetics
- experience in cytogenetic testing of oncology specimens
- experience in development of new molecular and cytogenetic tests such as Optical Genome Mapping
