Job Summary
Cylinder Driver - Local Transportation responsibilities include delivering and picking up gas cylinders from a local depot within a 100 mile radius, with 75% of time spent driving and 25% on administrative tasks. Duties include updating inventory, loading/unloading materials, FEFO material staging, proper labeling, operating powered industrial equipment, and maintaining safety and 5S practices. The role requires collaboration with the Depot Manager to align working hours (7AM–4PM), potential emergency weekend deliveries, and a strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and adherence to hazardous materials transport regulations. The position is based in Tualatin, OR, and involves 100% local deliveries with a fixed day schedule and a normal first shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years commercial driving experience
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license with hazmat endorsements
- Driver's license must be for state of domicile with a clean driving record
- Know and understand the rules set by the DOT as stated in CFR 49 for the safe transport of hazardous materials
