Job Summary
Provide instruction to teen parent students on health and parenting topics, facilitating positive responses to normal development and intervening to support current and potential health problems. Deliver case management services and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. Maintain a schedule of 196 days per year in the Teen Parent Program at Pasco High School.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience
- Permanent Florida Teaching Certificate and subject specific certification in K-12 Health
- Valid and current Registered Nurse licensed by Florida Department of Health, Division of Quality Medical Assurance
- Valid and current certification of American Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Agree to and sign a Condition to Earn statement requiring a permanent Florida Teaching Certificate and subject specific certification in K-12 Health to be obtained within the first year of employment
