Job Summary
Coordinate with the external SOC provider to validate alerts, make decisions, and close incidents while acting as the primary cybersecurity point of contact outside European business hours. Perform urgent security changes on firewalls, EDR/XDR, and cloud security platforms as required. Manage the vulnerability management lifecycle, including scanning, validation, prioritization, and remediation follow-up, alongside executing security hardening actions and technical improvements during non-EU hours. Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams across LATAM and the US, providing clear asynchronous reporting and handovers to the European cybersecurity team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing or supporting cybersecurity platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Hands-on experience with Nessus or similar tools.
- Demonstrated experience in incident handling and technical documentation.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a 'hands-on' approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as XDR, FW.
