Job Summary
Cybersecurity Intern to support CSF implementation in a 12-week program.Responsibilities include analyzing current security systems against NIST CSF requirements; developing gap analysis documentation; prioritizing updates to security policies and procedures; assisting with security controls using Mosyle, Microsoft Intune, AWS, and GCP; assisting in monitoring and alerting with Datadog; developing automation for security controls; creating compliance tracking documentation; and preparing executive summary reports on improvements and future roadmap. The role emphasizes hands-on policy development, gap analysis, and control deployment within a remote-first, US-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- A minimum of 2.5 GPA.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 10-20 hours a week.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
- Must reside in the Continental US, preferably within the state of Maryland.
