CyberSecurity Engineer

Job Summary
CyberSecurity Engineer to join an Information Security and Compliance team, collaborating with engineers, developers, project owners, and users to implement security controls, fulfill security requests, and adapt to new security protocols. The role emphasizes hands-on work with PKI, X509 certificates, TLS, Web Application Firewalls, endpoint security, and cryptography fundamentals; requires partnering with developers and system administrators to secure products and internal applications, and applying data-driven analysis to resolve security challenges. Strong written and spoken communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain recommendations and combine people skills with technical ingenuity. The position offers hybrid work in Porto, Portugal, with opportunities to participate in an international reference business group and internal training programs.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Security or equivalent
- Experience with common Windows and Linux security tools like RunAs, PsExec, sudo, and ssh
- Understanding of authentication concepts like multifactor and single sign-on
- Understanding of how X509 certificates are used in HTTPS
- Ability to automate simple tasks with scripts in Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Basic knowledge of web client and server communication (DNS, HTTP)
- Fluency with common networking tools like nmap, curl, openssl and wireshark
- Excellent communication skills, on both technical and non-technical issues
