Job Summary

Design and deploy secure infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements while operating and maintaining enterprise security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management platforms. Execute vulnerability assessments, compliance scans, and incident response procedures to drive operational excellence and measurable risk management. Participate in technical discussions to shape security architecture direction and develop implementation roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Mentor engineering teams on secure implementation practices and integrate security considerations into the software development lifecycle. Work alongside cross-functional teams including Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver comprehensive security solutions in cloud environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and system administration roles
  • Proven track record of successful problem analysis, identification, and resolution
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and change management policies and procedures
  • CompTIA Security+ (foundational security principles)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel internationally for on-site missions (up to 50% of the time or more)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to security protocols

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced system administration skills in Windows and Linux environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of network infrastructure including Cisco enterprise hardware, VLAN, ACL, routing, and VPN technologies
  • Proficiency in enterprise security management tools (Cisco ASA, Fortinet Fortigate, or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, HA, DRS, vStorage APIs)
  • Comprehensive understanding of storage systems (NAS/SAN, HP 3PAR/MSA/EVA, EMC DataDomain)
  • Expertise in backup technologies and incident response (NetBackup, BackupExec, Veeam, Networker)
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles and threat landscape
  • Experience with anti-virus implementations (McAfee EPO, Bitdefender, Microsoft Forefront)
  • Proficiency in security monitoring and log analysis tools (Nagios, Graylog, Splunk)
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with IPAMs and enterprise password management solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
