Job Summary
Parsons is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and execute cybersecurity programs, systems hardening, and monitoring compliance. You will develop plans, POA&Ms, and artifacts for system accreditation across various systems, perform security testing on cloud infrastructure, applications, and containerized infrastructure, and implement a robust vulnerability management process using tools such as ACAS and HBSS while enforcing STIG-based system hardening to minimize attack surfaces. The role requires an active Top-Secret clearance, a Bachelor's Degree, and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in cyber operations; familiarity with cyber operations tools and techniques (Elastic, Zeek, Suricata, Gigamon, Trellix, Splunk) and DoD 8140 certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, CCNA, CCSP, GDSA, CCNP, GCIH, GPEN). Desired skills include experience with space or cyber operational systems in a supervisory role and knowledge of Cyber Operations TTPs. The position is part of Parsons' Federal Solutions team, delivering services to US government customers, with a salary range of $103,500 - $181,100 and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, implementing, or integrating cyber operational capabilities on complex business or government mission networks
- Active Top-Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of cyber operations tools and techniques (e.g., Elastic, Zeek, Suricata, Gigamon, Trellix, Splunk)
- Advanced DoD 8140 certification for Enterprise Architect, Network Operations Specialist or Cyber Operations Planner (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, CCNA, CCSP, GDSA, CCNP, GCIH, GPEN)
- Experience with space or cyber operational systems in a supervisory role
