Job Summary
Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities; applies functional knowledge and industry practices to solve problems of moderate scope. Works independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior staff. The role requires 5+ years of cybersecurity or information security engineering experience, DoD IAT Level II certification, and a Secret clearance. Collaboration with government clients and FFDRDC is expected. Compensation ranges from $69,400 to $158,000 annually. Located in El Segundo, CA as a full-time role with standard Booz Allen benefits and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information security engineering
- Experience reviewing vulnerability documentation and developing courses of action to remediate findings
- Experience operating cybersecurity tools, such as Splunk, Tenable, Trellix, or Elastic
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 rev 5 transition requirements and planning of implementation strategies
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity
- Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD IAT Level II Certification
