Job Summary
Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts and document systems using Microsoft Office and Visio. Derive and document system CONOPS for Mission Assurance Categorization while applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides and NSA recommendations. Perform vulnerability tests using manual techniques and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, then plan and execute risk assessments against known vulnerabilities. Identify security analysis of connectivity relationships between US Naval warfare systems and interface equipment, and lead ISSO efforts as the focal point for all security matters. Author and revise system requirements to meet DoD security policies, and assist with developing cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems. Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination activities supporting DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts at multiple classification levels.
Required Qualifications
- An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- US Citizenship
- Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems OR five (5) years general security engineering experience
- Two (2) of the five (5) years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems experience in Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical combat systems
- Certified as IAT Level II or Level III per DoD 8570.01, or successor when performing as an ISSO or ISSE
- Understanding of computer security
- Understanding of military system specifications
- Understanding of DoD Cybersecurity policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems
- The ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
- This position is seated 100% on site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia
Desired Qualifications
- CASP, Security +, or CISSP Certifications
- A bachelors degree in Cybersecurity
