Job Summary
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a resilient network for Naval Information Warfare Center operations. Assess vulnerabilities to propose remediation strategies and ensure security controls safeguard digital infrastructure and electronic systems. Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and generate required reports. Manage automated software testing, Scrum Master support, and AWS Cloud operations while overseeing JIRA/Confluence and project support. Maintain compliance with cybersecurity policies and DoD 8570.1M certifications. Work Monday through Friday with some weekend support required.
Required Qualifications
- Location on site in Chesapeake, VA
- Support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA
- Monday through Friday with some weekend support required
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering OR bachelor's degree in mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements
- Depending on PWS tasking, individuals shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M
