Cybersecurity Engineer / Information Security Analyst (InfoSec)

Job Summary
Monitor security systems, SIEM tools, and network activity for suspicious behavior while analyzing logs, alerts, and threat intelligence feeds to detect malware, phishing, and intrusion attempts. Lead or support incident response activities by investigating breaches, performing root cause analysis, and containing cyber threats. Conduct vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and track remediation efforts. Implement security tools, enforce access control policies, and develop security policies and standards. Ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2, and generate security reports and dashboards. Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Engineering, and Compliance teams to maintain a strong security posture. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field and experience with SIEM, firewalls, and cloud environments. Full-time or contract-based role with potential 24/7 on-call support in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, EDR solutions)
- Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and network protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of cloud security fundamentals
- 24/7 on-call support may be required for incident response roles

Desired Qualifications
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM, OSCP)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP security tools)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security integration
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government)
