Job Summary
Conduct system hardening on Windows and Linux environments per DoD security requirements and industry best practices. Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across supported systems. Perform vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool to analyze, prioritize, and remediate findings. Apply vendor patches and security updates for both operating systems while supporting continuous monitoring and compliance initiatives. Maintain documentation for configurations and remediation efforts. Collaborate with system administrators and network engineers to resolve security issues and support audits and inspections. Requires active Secret clearance, a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or equivalent, and five years of experience with STIG implementation and ACAS usage. Located in San Diego, CA, with a salary range of $60,000 to $77,000.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret or higher clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Operations, Cyber Engineering, Information Systems Or an equivalent discipline
- Certification: one or more of the following (IAT II): CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE or SSCP
- 5 years of full-time professional experience performing system hardening
- demonstrated experience in STIG implementation
- demonstrated experience in Vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool
- demonstrated experience in Security Management policy guidance and directives
- demonstrated experience in Remediation of vulnerability findings, including implementation of vendor patches on both Linux and Windows operating systems
