Job Summary
Cybersecurity Engineer role leading advanced security assessments and purple-team exercises aligned with MITRE ATT&CK. Responsibilities include designing and executing internal purple team exercises, deploying secure IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services, performing threat modeling with TTP libraries, coordinating with Security and Engineering teams on the cATO process, and delivering high-quality documentation and remediation updates. Key skills include cloud security (AWS, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability assessment, SIEM-driven detection, DevSecOps practices, and strong communication for internal/external customers. Requires DOD 8570 IAT 3 compliance, US citizenship, and active security clearance up to TS/SCI as required by client environments. Preferred certifications and hands-on experience in malware analysis, forensics, and DevSecOps tooling." ,
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in three or more areas: networking security, penetration testing tools, red teaming, vulnerability assessment tools, and SIEM threat detection
- Strong technical proficiency with cloud technology and deployments (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and familiarity with container technologies including Kubernetes and microservices
- Proven experience identifying methods to detect emerging cyber threats, attack methods, and evolving TTPs
- Strong understanding of organizational threat modeling and the ability to map exercises and detection methods to MITRE ATT&CK
- Proficiency with commercial and open-source security assessment tools; deep understanding of secure development practices and the cATO process
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting assessment processes and results
- DOD 8570 IAT 3 Compliant (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent)
- US Citizenship and currently possess an active security clearance (TS/SCI as required by client environments)
