Job Summary
Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for vulnerability management and security assessments to safeguard systems, networks, and data. Role requires on-site work in San Diego, CA, an active Secret clearance, and potential international travel. Responsibilities include conducting vulnerability management, identifying and mitigating risks across software/hardware/networking, performing lab- and site-based security testing, prioritizing remediation with engineering teams, and maintaining RMF documentation with Security Controls artifacts to improve overall security posture. Required qualifications include Security+ certification and experience supporting ATO for NIST 800-53 compliance and STIG checks; preferred CISSP or CISA, Linux+ or RHSA, and Red Hat/SELinux knowledge.
