Job Summary
Cybersecurity Correspondent to cover APAC cybersecurity developments across key markets including Singapore, India, Australia and ASEAN; track regulatory frameworks and policy developments; analyze threat landscapes and digital transformation initiatives; identify region-specific trends to inform global cybersecurity conversations; produce high-quality content across articles, executive interviews, podcasts, webinars, video segments and event coverage; conduct interviews with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, regulators and technology leaders; ensure timely, accurate coverage aligned with ISMG’s global standards; provide editorial support across ISMG’s sectors and represent ISMG in industry forums as needed; collaborate with the global editorial team to align APAC coverage with ISMG’s broader strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years’ of professional journalism experience covering cybersecurity, information security or enterprise technology
- Strong news judgment and ability to prioritize multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Ability to write clearly, accurately, and quickly for a sophisticated technical audience
- Familiarity with/basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (CVE, ransomware, threat actors, etc.)
- Ability to take direction and operate in a high-output newsroom environment
- AI-savvy mindset, open to and proactive about using AI tools to streamline research, reporting, and editing—while maintaining strong editorial standards and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and English fluency is a must
- Preferred: Experience working in an international media organization and/or multimedia journalism
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience interviewing senior executives and industry leaders
- Preferred: Established network of cybersecurity professionals in APAC
- Preferred: Comfort with on-camera appearances and moderating executive discussions
