Cybersecurity Architect

Job Summary
Cybersecurity Architect to shape the technical cybersecurity direction at VELUX Denmark. Own and drive the technical cybersecurity roadmap, provide architectural guidance across identity, cloud, application, infrastructure, data, and network security, and contribute to the wider cybersecurity strategy. The role requires deep expertise in either IAM or DevSecOps and involves turning strategy into actionable plans, reviewing solution designs, and working with enterprise architects, infrastructure, cloud, and risk/compliance stakeholders to embed security by design. You will monitor threats and trends, maintain architecture documentation and standards, and help lead strategic initiatives such as cloud security and regulatory implementations. The position emphasizes ownership, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to translate high-level security objectives into practical, architecture-level decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in cybersecurity with a strong background in security architecture or security engineering
- Broad knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains and ability to assess end-to-end security impacts
- Experience designing and implementing security architecture in cloud environments, ideally Azure
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act)
- Ability to define target-state architectures, roadmaps, and transition plans
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Pragmatic, risk-based approach to security decision-making
- Ability to work across enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, cloud teams, application teams, and risk/compliance stakeholders
- Experience as trusted security advisor on major technology or transformation programmes
- Ability to embed security by design in architecture and strategy
