Job Summary

Conduct assessments of weapon system components and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations through passive and active evaluations. Establish program control processes to mitigate risks, support certification and accreditation, and manage investigations, software research, and periodic audits. Document assessment results, prepare system security plans, and monitor corrective actions until all items are closed. Provide analysis and design to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF guidance while developing required documentation. Apply scientific and information assurance principles to deliver trustworthy systems within established risk tolerances. Perform other ISSM/ISSO duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret)
  • Current DoDD 8140 ISSM 722-Intermediate Certification (Examples: CGRC, CASP, CCISO, Security+), or ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience
  • Master's degree
  • 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative team environment within schedules and timelines
  • Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, or similar cybersecurity frameworks
  • Relocation assistance may be available
  • 10% of the Time travel

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of Information Systems Security Officer/Manager experience
  • Current DODD 8140 ISSM 722-Advanced Certification (Examples: CISM, CISSP, GCIA, GSLC)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of auditing, vulnerability scanning/remediation, DISA STIGs, configuration/change control, and implementation of Risk Management Framework
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce coherent and concise documentation required for certification evaluation
  • ICBM Experience
  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance
