Job Summary
Cyber Systems Security Engineer role focused on space and national security missions. Join an integrated product team to architect, implement, and satisfy RMF cybersecurity, cyberresilience, and survivability requirements across satellite, ground, and C2 segments. Responsibilities include deconstructing system-level security controls into technical performance requirements, preparing SSPs and related artifacts (RARs, SCTMs, and POA&Ms), implementing and maintaining COTS security products, securing space segments and embedded software, performing vulnerability assessments, and ensuring conformance with RMF and security policies. Requires collaboration across disciplines, experience with real-time OS and secure coding practices, Agile collaboration, and ability to support certification activities (CTF). This role emphasizes on-site work in the Northern Virginia area, with clearances and citizenship prerequisites and potential for travel as part of duties.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering, with Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering preferred
- 5 years of experience or 3 years with a Masters (experience can be considered in lieu of degree)
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI at time of application
- US Citizenship is required
- Experience designing systems/networks with HBSS or ESS
- Experience with DISA STIGs and documentation of deviations/mitigations
- Experience with RMF from system categorization through continuous monitoring
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS, Nessus/Tenable) and remediation
- Excellent technical documentation skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders
- Ability to work in an Agile engineering environment
- On-site only (no remote work for this role)
