Job Summary

Design and build secure systems by coordinating with teams to translate customer needs into plans that enable effective solutions against advanced cyber threats. Investigate new techniques and break from legacy models to lead system design, providing alternatives that balance security with mission requirements. Apply expertise in systems engineering for requirements analysis, architecture design, technology assessment, and metrics development while providing operational support including tool testing and vendor coordination. Develop and apply advanced methods to investigate complex project requirements and plan full lifecycle projects for highly visible technical solution programs. Assist customers in overcoming difficult challenges by integrating secure practices and determining security requirements through business need analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience providing cyber security support to large scale networks or information systems
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder organizations to assist in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
  • Experience with assisting projects in determining their security requirements by analyzing business needs and evaluating industry offerings to identify products that meet security requirements
  • Experience with supporting the development and review of System Security Plans (SSPs), security requirements, and supporting documentation for the Assessment and Authorization process
  • Experience reviewing assessment reports and assisting projects in identifying security risks, including technical and non-technical, and developing effective mitigation strategies
  • Experience with providing security review and approval for changes to accredited systems, such as installation of new software, firewall changes, and determination of security changes
  • Experience with networking, including OSI model, TCP/IP, MPLS, SONET, Ethernet, routing, switching, and firewalls
  • Experience with virtual machine technology
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS CSA, or ICSA Certifications
