Job Summary
Design, implement, test, and deploy advanced software security capabilities aligned with technical reference architectures while performing ongoing security testing and code reviews. Troubleshoot complex issues across diverse environments and develop engineering designs that address emerging security threats. Contribute to architecture decisions, maintain thorough technical documentation, and mentor team members on secure coding best practices. Stay current with new technologies to drive continuous improvement in mission-critical systems. Requires active TS/SCI clearance, 20 years of SWE experience, and proficiency in Java, C++, and cloud architectures. Located in Laurel, MD, with a target salary of $146,000-$234,000.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph
- Twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes
- A minimum six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent 8 years developing production
- Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful Service
- Familiarity with cloud development techniques, resources, and tools
- Experience in agile software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, problem diagnosis/resolution, and source code management practices & tools
- Experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++ for distributed systems, with proficiency in networking, multi-threading and implementation of REST APIs
- Experience with the Spring framework, messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ), streaming analytics (Apache Flink, Spark), management of containerized applications (Kubernetes)
- Experience with Enabling tools (Git, Maven, Jira), DevOps (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab Cl/Pipelines), Continuous Monitoring (ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana), Nagios)
- Experience with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo and Apache NiFi
- Well-grounded in Linux fundamentals and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, BASH, etc.)
- Experience with AWS Cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud security, and Automation (AWS Lambda, CloudFormation)
