Cyber Senior Underwriter

Job Summary
Underwrite and negotiate new business and renewal cyber risks while managing key accounts to ensure profitable retention. Build and strengthen trading relationships with broker partners to position the firm as a preferred market player. Review broker-generated quotes, articulate product value to secure placements, and manage workflows through internal underwriting and e-trade platforms. Act as a technical referral point to support team development and influence outcomes across open market and e-trade channels. This role supports a £35m GWP growth strategy through 2030 within a dedicated cyber unit at a Fortune 500 insurer, featuring hybrid working based in Manchester.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience underwriting cyber insurance
- Proven experience across both new business and renewals
- Strong broker and market relationships
- Confidence handling referrals and supporting less experienced underwriters
- Excellent communication skills
- A collaborative approach
- Experience using e-trade platforms
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using e-trade platforms (Acturis desirable, not essential)
